Dec 3 UTC+8 on my baby steps in skateboarding at 18:00+. Trying to make my way from the neighbors without getting caught in bringing my deck along. Good thing the narrow alleys are dark though. Until I made it to the construction site, cowering through a hole with sharp edges in galvanized metal sheets enough to enter and throw my deck on the road, dim enough to take my first roll along the coast.

Well, balance is much more challenging at the first roll, no shit. New rougher surface than the streets or the linoleum at home I was used to. Got my first trip. Trying to ignore a puppy couple on sidewalks and got unbalanced when they noticed me. There are also mud lumps and pebbles at the first 2-3 meter run I think. Still trying to sync my paddle with my right foot by adjusting my right foot to its perfect place on the board. (Yep, regular).

Then there goes my second fall while struggling with my right foot stepping on the board together with paddling. I did enjoy falling on the ground and got my first scratch on my right knee. Then paused for a moment and enjoyed the wide sky while lying down on the floor … Kidding, I just quickly got myself up tho I kinda regret I didn’t. Then there’s the bridge until I passed its first post. Then back from the entrance.

I did notice my speed’s faster and got a bit hang of it. Yep, still there are some stops at falling off the deck without tripping. And somewhat it was kinda addicting to get my footing and balance in sync. Hmm, I want a cruiser now but nope, I’m at starters for now. Got along with pebbles, got the maneuvers at lumps with ease, and stops are getting a bit infrequent.

And yeah, there goes my two intervals of getting a hang of my deck. Steel sheet’s hole closed at the entrance and kids doing some ruckus at the other side with their flashlights. With their suggestions, I went on a lengthy duck walk escapade under the nearest bridge for the exit. Welp, there’s making my way with the neighbors until home. Yep, there goes my first routine, hoping I’m consistent with it.
